Changed my mind - a woman's prerogative!!!

I've decided to go back to my old blog The Lazy Artist I'm sorry for messing you around but it's got a more unusual name and seems to be much easier for people to find!

Getting there!

At last I've covered the whole canvas – but there's still a whole lot of refining to do! I'm really pleased with the way this one has come out – which is rare for me. Because I only had an old print of Mitch the springer, I had to paint him loosely - so the whole painting has to be loose – something I'm always trying to achieve. I've got to resolve not to start using smaller brushes and putting in too much detail now!

Just an update on my progress on the oil painting of Mitch and Dexter - sorry about the poor photo but it seems to be coming on ok!

Brand New Year

Happy New Year everyone! (although I think I'm saying this to thin air as I don't think I have any followers yet!!) I am resolved this year to work on my painting as hard as I can and spend as much time doing it as possible. I'm starting the new year with a new project - which is to paint these two fellows for some friends of mine. Mitch, the springer spaniel on the left, is sadly not with us any more and I have some old photos of him which I am trying to combine with recent photos of Dexter, on the right. It could be a bit of a challenge!
